Donations

The Green Township Fire Department is a non-profit 100% volunteer organization. Funding is provided by the municipalities of Green and Frelinghuysen Townships. Unfortunately, the cost of maintaining and operating a volunteer fire department has increased dramatically over the last decade. With the cost of apparatus rising up over $500,000, and the annual operating cost around $100,000, municipal funding is not enough. Due to the high median income of Green Township, the possibility of the department receiving federal funding from grants is very low. For these reasons, private donations are an extremely important source of funding for the fire protection srevices for our community, Your support is needed for the fire department.
